Mirela Kmetič-Marceau
Mirela Kmetič-Marceau works on artificial intelligence governance at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), where she supports initiatives on advancing the implementation of the 2021 UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI. Her work focuses on AI supervision, capacity-building, and international cooperation.
Before joining UNESCO, she held policy and research roles in Canada, contributing to projects on AI policy, digital affairs, innovation, and public sector governance. Mirela holds a Master in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and a Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto.
