Lígia Azevedo


Lígia Azevedo is the SeguraNet Awareness Centre coordinator from responsibility of Directorate General for Education (DGE). She holds a degree in Educational Mathematics and a Master´s degree in Science Education, specialising in ICT in Education. She has been working at the DGE since 2006, where she has been involved mainly in the SeguraNet Awareness Centre and eTwinning project. She has also collaborated in other national and international projects concerning the use of ICT in schools. Her professional experience includes teacher training and working in a Competence Centre. Her responsibilities are: represent the SeguraNet Team in the European meetings, represent the SeguraNet Team in the Portuguese Safer Internet Centre (Internet Segura) meetings, identify and disseminate good e-safety practice emerging from schools, coordinate and develop awareness initiatives and educational resources.
