Gerben Klein Baltink


Gerben (1962) has been trained as an officer in the Royal Dutch Army, where he worked between 1981 and 1994. He then joined TNO (the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research), until 2011. At TNO he has worked at the Defense & Security research laboratories, in several management positions. There, he was actively involved in the development of the Dutch Cybersecurity strategy, which lead to a.o. the development of the Cyber Security Council. He served as Secretary of this Council from 2011-2014 and became Chairman of the Dutch Internet Standards Platform in 2014.
Besides his work in the field of (cyber)security and internet standards, Gerben is also involved in e-mobility, as a manufacturer of the Trefecta eBikes.
He is married, has two children and lives in the rural eastern part of the Netherlands.
